In the Crop Video tool in WUJIEE Video Tools, drag the preview frame onto the actual picture area to enclose your subject and export — the surrounding black bars are cropped away; you can also just apply a target ratio preset like 16:9. Note this "cuts away black bars," which is the opposite of "adding black bars to pad a portrait video into a frame."
Pick the 9:16 preset — the preview frame centers on the picture, and once you drag it over your subject and export, you get a full-screen portrait video with no black bars, ideal for social feeds. The trade-off is a narrower field of view, since only the framed area is kept; if you want to keep the whole picture, use a "pad with background" approach instead of cropping.
Cropping cuts away part of the picture and changes the framing and aspect ratio (e.g. 16:9 to 9:16); resizing scales the whole picture proportionally with the framing unchanged. Use Crop Video to change the framing and the Resize Video tool to change the dimensions — each handles its own job.
Cropping keeps only the framed region and re-encodes it, so on a high-quality preset the impact is small; since the cropped frame is smaller, it's often faster than a full-frame re-encode.
